“A fascinating, hallucinatory journey into the mind of the author who invented the modern horror story." – MJ Simpson, Fangoria
In late September 1849, Edgar Allan Poe was traveling to New York from Richmond, Virginia. Poe never made it - he was discovered raving and incoherent on a Baltimore street. For three days he lay delirious in a hospital where he died on October 7th. To this day, the circumstances surrounding his death remain a mystery. Award-winning filmmaker and actor Mark Redfield mixes the events of the author's last days with imagery from his stories to create a dreamlike chronicle of Poe's final journey into madness and fear.
